Runaway Train

The size and cost of government is steaming ahead too fast for the brakes to work. Of course it’s running out of coal but it still won’t stop before it derails.

This from USA Today:

The number of federal workers earning $150,000 or more a year has soared tenfold in the past five years and doubled since President Obama took office, a USA TODAY analysis finds.

The number of people raking in in our tax dollars has been ticking up for decades but now it’s almost exponential. So if you’re in the public sector making fat cash, why would you support any action to reduce government? You wouldn’t, and that’s the problem. The bigger our government gets and the more control they take of us, the more difficult it will be to turn around.

So government workers make good money, perhaps you don’t have a problem with that, but in looking at the numbers compared to the private sector, I think it’s pretty obvious that this trend is jacked.

In conclusion, the more people that get to enjoy bending you over a barrel while their lives just keep getting better, the more they will lie and twist the truth to make you believe they’re just trying to help you and the world. So I don’t support tax hikes or even scaled income tax rates, that doesn’t make me a racist who hates poor people or someone who doesn’t support public servants like firefighters and police. It just means that I’m not gonna get prison-raped and pretend to enjoy it.

How’s that reach-around working out for you?
